What data do we collect?

“Personal data” is defined as information relating to a living individual that enables that individual to be identified either from the data.

Personal data may contain “special categories of data” as described under the new law. Such “special categories of data” may include information about your racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs or other beliefs, physical or mental health or, in relation to DPA only, other conditions and information concerning any criminal offences or criminal proceedings.

  • Modules they are interested in

How and when we collect this data

This data will be collected when you complete the contact form.

We may also collect marketing and promotional data throughout the year on an ad-hoc basis, as well as at specific events.

Who collects your data?

Data is collected on behalf of Bath Spa University and Bath College, the data will not be shared beyond RESTART and those two organisations. The data is covered by their respective privacy statements. Bath College and Bath Spa University will be the “Data Controllers” for data relating to their respective referrals.

Why do we collect your data?

This data will be used to follow up with you on enquiries you submit for the RESTART programme. You may be contacted by Bath Spa University or Bath College depending on which modules you have chosen.

How long do we keep your data?

Data will be kept for one year after initial communication or completion of the programme.

How do we protect your data?

We’ll process data in accordance with GDPR and data protection law, and only for the purposes specified at the point of data collection. Your personal data will be processed by Bath Spa University and Bath College.

Changes to this policy

We reserve the right to amend this policy at any time. Where appropriate, we will notify data subjects of those changes by mail or email. This policy will be reviewed on an annual basis by the Data Protection Officer in conjunction with the University Secretary’s Office t at Bath Spa University and Bath College

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
