It’s a partnership between Bath College and Bath Spa University offering a post-pandemic recovery package of inclusive skills and reskilling.

The core aim of RESTART is to ensure that the local community have an accessible opportunity to reskill and maximise their employment and progression opportunities.

The programme is open to anyone aged 19+ and utilises consistent communication with local employers and businesses about skillsets that they look for when hiring people.

Most of our curriculum runs on a two-week cycle with some one day workshops as well as some that run over a number of weeks . We’ll provide you with the date of when the next schedule is due to start. The good news usually a start date will be two weeks away and in most cases a lot sooner.

You can find our latest schedule on our modules page.

Nothing! RESTART is free and available to anyone over the age of 19. Get in touch if you’d like to chat with us about our modules.

You’ll need to have your own computer to access the online teaching. Before the start of each module, you’ll be sent email invites with joining instructions.

RESTART provides rapid upskilling and reskilling and therefore isn’t assessed. It’s always advisable to do independent learning and your tutor can help you with this.

RESTART is free and open to anyone over the age of 19. We have a wide range of participants from different backgrounds including people:

  • Looking to learn new skills to progress in their current workplace
  • Recently made redundant or furloughed
  • Looking to start their own business venture
  • Looking to explore a new career path

No, you can study as many or as few modules that interest you and offer you the skills you need.

We have some recommended pathways depending on your goals detailed on our modules page or we’ll be happy to discuss your options with you.

With the current online delivery RESTART can be accessed regardless of location and therefore living in Bath isn’t mandatory. When we revert to face to face learning it will be delivered in Bath city centre and therefore it will favour BANES residents.
